Growing up on the island nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, I moved to North West Arkansas in 2009. That moved made me acutely aware of when last moments happen, and a lot of my work either through poetry or in paintings suspends that moment in time.

Don’t Forget is a collection of oil paintings centered on Caribbean fruit. Part ode to my last moments in my home country, while also paying respect to the folk art of the Caribbean.

These paintings ask a simple question: If this is the last moment, what will you remember?
